Professional Development
Annually, the Youth Services Team of the Saratoga County Mental Health Center and the SCCCMH partner to provide an educational conference for mental health professionals and parents focusing on the needs of children with mental illness. Strategies for psychotherapy, parenting strategies, behavioral therapy and other issues are examples of the myriad of topics addressed during these informative seminars.
In addition to useful topics, the conference organizers have been able to attract national and regional experts in their field to present at the conference. The Youth Services Team and the SCCCMH also have made providing this conference at an affordable registration fee a high priority and as a result this is well-attended and greatly appreciated by all who attend. Generally, this conference is held at a venue in Saratoga Springs, NY.
